Event Description:
Title: Preventing Outbreaks of Legionnaires’ and Other Waterborne Diseases

Description: An outbreak of Legionnaires’ or other waterborne diseases can be extremely costly in terms of legal fees, third-party liability, remediation, and damaged reputation. Fortunately, these types of outbreaks can be prevented. In this webinar, we will explain how Legionella bacteria enters and grows in a premise’s plumbing system or cooling tower and how to assess the condition of a building’s water systems. We also will explain how to develop and implement a simple water management plan that can help prevent disease outbreaks. The emphasis will be on what owner/operators can do themselves, using skills they already have, while also discussing when and how outside expertise can help.
