Event Description:
Title: Keep Hotels/Motels Safe from Human Trafficking by Learning the Law and the Warning Signs

Description: San Diego District Attorney Summer Stephan, a nationally recognized expert on human trafficking, explains how to recognize and effectively respond to the warning signs of this crime, which often hides in plain sight. Hotels and motels are the most commonly reported venue for sex trafficking and as such are critical partners in the fight against this modern-day slavery. Learn the laws and definitions of human trafficking, the difference between sex and labor trafficking, the red flags, and what steps you should take to ensure a safer environment for your guests, employees, and the community at large. This webinar could fulfill legal requirements for hotel/motel education on human trafficking.
